The Parish Advisory Council is by mandate of the Bishop.
The purpose of the Parish Advisory Countil is to:
- listen and respond to the Spirit of God along with the pastor, staff, and various ministries
- organize lay participation and cooperation for the mission of the parish
- facilitate shared practical wisdom in assisting the pastor in the development of parish policies and strategies to address those concerns and needs
- assist the pastor, staff and ministries in parish planning, assessing the needs of the parish, and assisting in establishing parish goals and priorities
- envision along with the pastor what and how the parish community should glow. They advise the pastor in the decision-making process.
- communicate with organizations and community in the life of the parish
